The Signal - (not the old movie with the same name)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Looks interesting, but it also looks like it is full of young adults who feel ways about stuff, and I hate that.

It seems to have an Akira vibe.

The kid and I watched it.

This is a tough one to pigeonhole.

Sometimes it felt like an indy movie, with the dramatic slomo of stuff not related to anything, like focusing the camera for a long time on a plastic bag floating in the wind and swearing it is SO BEAUTIFUL.

Sometimes it felt like found footage.

Most it felt low budget.... but I guess that could be for a reason.

It didn't make much sense until literally the last 30 seconds. Not really sure how I feel about it, yet.
