iTunes Movies

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I just have to rant...

So I'm heading to the lake tonight for a golf outing tomorrow and I decide to look into renting a film on iTunes to watch when I go to bed this evening.

I discovered that movies sold on iTunes are ridiculously priced. We're talking Blu-Ray prices.

Meanwhile, renting a movie costs more than renting one at a movie store or at home. It doesn't matter if it's older. They claim renting from them is awesome because you have up to 30 days to watch it. "You can watch it whenever and whereever!"

Fuck You!

After 30 days if you don't watch it, kiss your cash goodbye.

On top of that, once you do sit down to start watching it, you have 24 hours to watch it however many times you want. Of course, if you start it, and then get called away, and don't get back in time, kiss your money goodbye.

Fuck you Apple and your money grubbing ways. Fuck every person who buys into this fucking system. You're part of the problem.

Me? I'm downloading Popcorn Time onto my Surface Pro 3. Suck it Apple!

Don't all online rentals work that way? 30 days to watch it. Once you start it, 24 hours to finish it. Over priced.

Even pay per view is like that. Minus the 30 days to watch it. You only get 24 hours. Over priced.

Surely they have redboxes near the lake.

DVD? What year is this?

No, but seriously, I don't want to lug up a laptop and the DVD player in my room is on a 13" TV WAY across the room where the kids normally sleep.

So, I'll be on my iPad or Surface.

Not my place. It's the in-law's cabin. I'm not responsible for their tech.

Although, I did stream the UFC PPV two weeks ago to their 32" LCD TV that I set up on the patio. That was fun.
