Towns developer quits.

This is after the original developers walked a long time ago without fulfilling many of the promises they made about the game.

My favorite part about this story though is this bit:
Based on Frankenberger's post, it seems the team is now betting on a sequel. "Xavi and I were talking about a possible Towns2," he wrote.

Is he delusional or just an asshole?

I wonder if this story will force Valve to make changes regarding its Early Access policies? You can't have folks developing a game far enough to get it into Early Access then walking away from it. That will eventually reflect on you. Not to mention expose you to possible lawsuits, which is not unheard of regarding unfinished games being sold based on developer promises.

This game was actually on my wish list. It has now been removed.

Well, early access is a risk for a reason. I was intrigued by the game, but (for reasons like this) hell if I want to put $ into something unless I can get that level of fun already.
It's not me, it's someone else.
