Captain America: The Winter Soldier

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Watched the next episode of Agents of Shield, tonight. It happens at exactly the same time as the big final fight in DC, Cap is even mentioned by name. The show went from meh to HOLY SHIT intense. I hope they can keep the awesomeness going through the season... it almost has to stay awesome since the next movie that will advance this storyline is at least 12 months away.

Hmmmm, do I have to watch the movie to enjoy the related episodes of the show?

Hmmm.

I think if you don't know what is happening in the movie, you might be completely lost as to the enormity of what is happening in the last 2 TV episodes. Hard to say since I saw the flick.

But go see the flick, anyway. It may be the best Marvel movie so far.

Not if you've been watching the series up until now, no. I haven't seen the movie yet and they were fine.

Saw it yesterday. Really touched on some much deeper issues if you choose to think about it, but not required to enjoy the film. I've been really impressed with the writing for Black Widow. They've actually written a female character that I find interesting and look forward to seeing and hearing more from.

And agree about the Falcon. They did a much better job of developing Sam Wilson than they did developing The Falcon. "Oh yeah, and by the way I'm the Falcon."

I can believe the first half of that.

Ok.... so did anyone else laugh at the inscription on the tombstone? I busted out laughing in an otherwise silent theater.

Did you hear him get mentioned? I thought that was cool.

"Steven Strange..." among the list of names that got rattled off for the kill list, iirc.

Also Stark Tower was shown REAL quick when the things were targeting.

That was on a list of Easter Eggs in the film. Also a big jar of Newman's Own something right up front in Redford's fridge.

Stuff in the fridge is blurry and all but impossible to recognize.

Also noticed Natasha's necklace....

Second viewing and it's still awesome.

I saw the big jar of Newman's own sauce right in the center front of the top shelf. You had trouble recognizing it?

The contents of the fridge were out of focus on my screen.

Hrrm... I mean, it wasn't clear enough to read the jar when I saw it or anything, but the pattern on the label was clear enough to recognize it for me. I'd complain to management about sub-par screen clarity. You're paying too much for poor images.

Or you're just getting old and need to go for your annual eye exam.

They did one anyway, but they pretty much do exactly what they said...

According to an email I got season 1 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is now on Netflix.

I guess we never had a S.H.I.E.L.D thread and it fits in well with Cap 2 so here we are.

There was indeed a Shield thread
