This is an old one, but Matt Ball and his kid and I used to have a lot of fun multiing this game. It's got to be nearly free by now (if available at all...).
I bought AOE3 but like with Civ 4 and 5, they changed the gameplay so much I just couldn't get into it. AOE2 is where it peaked.

Fake edit - on Steam I see a HD version of the game released in 2013 for $20. I'd buy it again if everyone else wanted to play. I give it 3 thumbs up (that means my penis, too).
