One of the "8 Movies to Die For" series from Horrorfest. (Not sure which year, I'm guessing this is the new batch.)
This is an indy, so I'll cut it a bit more slack.
This one had to have had a big bigger budget or a wealthy backer because almost the entire cast was made up of "C" listers. The stars: The chick from Starship Troopers (not Denise Richards), the chick from "Burn Notice", and some guys I recognized, but couldn't place.
Unfortunately, I think they spent all their money on stars and had nothing left over for decent effects and a good script.
This was the worst of the series so far and I've now watched 7 of the 8.
The story was just plain boring. It was slow to develop and really quite pointless. It reminded me of a horror skit you'd see at a summer camp. (Not Crystal Lake's though, I hear those are awesome.)
Everyone phoned in their performances too. I figure they were there for the paycheck or as a favor, but they knew the movie was ass.
The effects were almost always off camera, so I figure they had no budget or no make up skills. Judging by a scene with a broken leg, it could be both.
The film was basically about a group of people who were all linked to a place where the government did experiments on kids back in the day. Now it's haunted by someone who died and for whatever reason she/he/it wants to kill those who lived or something dumb like that. Don't expect any cool The Ring types of visuals, they couldn't even match the horror of "F.E.A.R." (the video game).
Skip it.

The video recording of your last family reunion.
These are a few examples of video media that have more tension and terror than this movie.
