A 1987 comedy-horror B-movie whose writer took the premise from The Purple Rose of Cairo in '85 and probably more than a few drugs then asked the question, "What if we did that ... but for, like, zombies, man?"
This is a distinctly non-classical treatment of beasts in question. Differences from standard rules:
- Zombie status is not transmitted with bites, or at all.
- Zombies are spawned from a TV.
- There's no horde of zombies, just a handful.
- You can't kill them, but you can temporarily convince them they're dead by beating the shit out of them.
- They will cannibalize each other if no other prey is available.
The acting is low quality, as is everything else. I assume the budget was whatever the crew could panhandle between shots. That being said, it's a fairly entertaining flick for a genre fan if you can turn off the "Goddamn, that zombie got really stealthy" part of your brain.
