As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

The film follows Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.

Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, and infinite nothingness. The infinite nothingness by itself is preferable.

Is this based on the short story from a long time ago?

Uh oh. Cliche alert. It's the retiring cop and the eager young rookie. That's a sure sign of lazy writing right there.

This no longer shows promise.

I think ST: Voyager did something like this once. That automatically means it's a bad idea.

Two new clips from the movie.

Ok, I'm still interested.

I really thought this would be bad until about a week ago.

Definitely one to see in theaters, and the 3D is a nice touch.

Saw it in iMax.

I would say it's the only way to see it.

I thought it was amazing.

Unbelievable visuals. I could absolutely see Bullock winning an Oscar. I didn't even mind Clooney as he played exactly the character he should play.

Completely agree. Throw in best direction, best cinematography, best sound editing...

Clooney was perfect for the role.

I question the cinematic sanity of both of you.

This is the second straight Bullock movie Leish has pushed for. I'm more worried about him. As for my opinion on this film...
Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, and infinite nothingness. The infinite nothingness by itself is preferable.

I'd spend the entire movie rooting for the debris.

He hasn't seen either movie I pushed, and is just being a douche.

I was never a huge fan of Bullock, but I didn't hate her either.

Clooney I straight up despise for his politics and arrogance, and think he plays the same character in every movie, but he works here.

I'll drop it on the Netflix queue to see what it looks like on the TV.

I sweat to jeebus, y'all better not be fucking with me. How long is this movie? 3, 4 hours?

It's like you won't even read this thread. 3D = required. IMAX = preferred.

So, it's really about the special effects or what?

The movie is maybe an hour and 20 minutes. Maybe.

It's not just the special effects, but the visuals.

The cast is seven large. Seven. I had no idea Ed Harris was even in this movie until I just looked on IMDB.

This is one I'd recommend for the theater. The bigger the screen, the better.

Don't go for the story, go for the art.
