Some things:

1) My brain equated "Swanson" with "Burgundy" for a bit. Then the fuzziness faded after a google.

2) I have never seen an episode of that show. Maybe five minutes at a time. I have a strong aversion to Amy Pohler.

3) My knowledge of Ron Swanson is limited to what I've learned from bar trivia questions.

Doesn't it have to be in the barrel to age? Once it's in the bottle, it doesn't age any more. Does it? Well, it gets older. But doesn't change.

That's a shame. Amy Pohler I think there's aspects of it you would appreciate. Admittedly mostly the aspects involving Ron Swanson. Although Rob Lowe is pretty damn good on that show, too.

Mostly. In won't age in the bottle, but you'll notice gradual, subtle changes in taste as time goes on. I've noticed a larger difference in the bouquet. The oldest liquor I've ever had was bottled prior to WWII. It was an acquired aroma. The dude that owned it didn't care for it and said it smelled like kerosene. I had nothing against it, but it was potent. I could damn near find my way in the dark by that scent.

So i've got to play Infinite Crisis about 5-6 times over the past week and i must say its pretty fun.

The main game mode is much like Dominion is for LOL, you capture points on the map to gain control of it and send minions towards the enemy team. The difference is that there is a capture point in the middle of the map that if captured arms a big cannon and releases super minions towards the enemy.

The roster is only at 16 champs right now so you see many of the same ones when you do play. There are 3 different batmen, 2 different Jokers, and i believe 2 different Green Lanterns. They all have different skill sets and they play much in a different manner.

If you're familiar with LOL you will be able to pick this game up instantly. Same button layouts and everything. I still haven't totally figured out the item buying system but there is a recomended items button to help you buy in the middle of the game.

Its pretty much a copy cat of LOL in that you get points from winning to spend on champs you wanna buy, and you can also purchase points with real world cash. When i signed up they gave me a ton of both points for free so you can purchase champs and skins right off the bat.

The coolest feature of the game is the destructable environments, I love playing with Doomsday and smashing cars that are in the way.

and if anyone wants a beta key here it is, first come first serve.

I've been hearing "destructible environment" forever. Exactly how much is destructible?

Its pretty significant actually. I've seen cars get lifted and thrown around, not sure how its done or if just certain champs can do it. And buildings will get toppled and pathways will be altered because of it.

Actually found a short vid where the developers are talking about it.

Not good enough. Everything just disappears. There should be massive amounts of scrap metal and rubble all over the place. And huge craters and mountains of dirt thrown out of the craters. And the twisted dead bodies of the civilians caught in the crossfire.

I've thrown cars around in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games and the like. They've also claimed "destructible" environments, it's just a really small, select set of things you can demolish. Can I use anything as shrapnel when tossing a gas truck into it or just certain objects?

Now your talking! that would be the shit!

But i would guess that in a game like this the whole board would be in complete ruin within minutes.

It is nice to see other damage done to environments though when you are shooting a skill shot and miss and it does damage to the building behind it. Its not like you just walk around destroying shit, i guess you could but to the detriment of your team.

i would guess not. i haven't played it enough, i don't even know how or who can pick up a vehicle.

I think its just vehicles mostly, i did see in the video what looked like the oscar mayer hot dog truck getting tossed. Although i don't remember ever seeing that in the games i played.

But then rubble management would become an important part of game tactics. If your team's got more flying then go crazy and you slow down the other team's movements more. If not then you might need to designate a telekinetic to focus on clearing rubble where you need space and tossing it into the way of the enemy. That sort of thing.

Well you can alter pathways so you have to take the long way around to get somewhere.
