Aguirre’s son Noah, a first-grader at James McGee Elementary School, was sent home Feb. 28 after another student told their teacher that Noah had a gun with him.

School suspends students who brought in nerf guns after being directed to by the teacher.

They even suspended the kids who merely saw the nerf guns.

Translation: can you imagine how it would look if we suspended a black kid for bringing a real gun to school, and it got out that we let white kids get away with bringing a nerf gun?

Hill said he got the idea for the toy gun exchange from a photographer, Horace Gibson, who takes students’ school pictures and who expressed concern about the spate of shootings of young people by police in Oakland.

Wait, shouldn't they be disarming the cops, then, rather than the victims?

While a spokesman with Adams County School District 27JA denied KMGH an interview with the elementary school principal and the district superintendent, a statement was released: “This suspension is consistent with our district policy as well as how Southeast has handled similar situations throughout this school year.”
