The Bourne Legacy

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Movie sucked monkey ass, so I might include some spoilers to convey that. Don't hate because I'm saving you the time you'd never get back if you watched this turd.

Jeremy Renner takes over for Matt Damon, but doesn't play Bourne, and instead is Aaron Cross.

Aaron is a medically enhanced spy/soldier where as Bourne was just a sleeper spy/assassin. He escapes a bad situation and with the evil government on his tail he works to prevent his death from the chems with the help of Rachel Weisz.

This movie is a fucking mess. It's like they had half the script written, and then Damon dropped out, so they threw together Cross' story and mixed it with Bourne's.

Bourne is mentioned a LOT. Damon's face is shown a few times. Thus, you get the very clear impression that they want him back. Meanwhile, this simply confuses Cross' story, and makes him seem unimportant. I seriously cannot convey what a colossal failure this was by everyone involved. At times it felt like I was flipping stations and watching two completely different movies.

"The Aaron Cross story" starring Jeremy Renner, and "Damn we wish Damon was still in this because Bourne is right there in the title" staring Edward Norton.

Bourne had NOTHING to do with the plot here aside from a very flimsy excuse for what starts Aaron's story, yet they talk about him the entire film.

The action is also terrible. Cross fights a drone, random security guards, a few cops, one evil government team that doesn't even know he's there and includes an old man and an older woman, and finally a similar spy/assassin that he doesn't even finish off because he's asleep during the end of their conflict. Not making that last part up!!!

And the science...wow. Did you know that you can create a virus in about 30 minutes? If you can permanently augment your test subjects with a virus, and it only takes 30 minutes to make, why the fuck would you keep feeding them pills, especially when some are deep undercover? The logistics alone make this plot point beyond stupid.

I cannot get over how bad the writing of this movie is, and I'm trying to debate if it's so bad it's funny. Conclusion: It's not.

Dear Hollywood writers, the government is not full of people willing to off themselves and/or innocent people at a moment's notice just because they're asked to do so without any explanation. Sure, lots of folks will die in service to the country

Skip it.
