2 druggies were killed when they broke into the wrong house.

But this news article makes them look happy and innocent. I guess they couldn't find any pics of the people when they were like 8 and adorable.

I still see no motive for their burglary outside vague references to looking for pills. I also am suspicious of people who do the following...

Smith said he left the bodies in his home overnight before calling a neighbor to ask if he knew a good lawyer. He later asked the neighbour to contact police.

I'm not saying the guy didn't overreact, but I can empathize with his mindset. He'd been robbed before, he is a former embassy security guy, and peeps are invading his shit, again. I doubt he hid the bodies entirely because he was a psycho... he hid them because he knew he had waded into shit creek. And old, so a little psycho.

Still could've called the cops himself. Shit like this is also why there's sound-activated/remote light control. Far cheaper than lawsuits.
