Well, I bought the game from the Steam sale. We'll see if I can learn anything.

I'm back, biatches.

Although, it's rather bad timing that it's at the beginning of the 3-day no play period.

Been playing through 2 as Axton, currently level 12, or so. Auto turrets rule.

Being able to hear all the dialogue and shit, because there aren't 4 people pushing 4 buttons at once everywhere on everything, each of which triggers dialogue, is nice. Handsome Jack is actually hilarious. I completely missed the "Ass Stallion" jokes when I played with the group.

Catt, if you're having problems switch to Axton or the Mechromancer.

The turret or Deathtrap will do a lot of the killing for you.

Does one have to pay to unlock the mechromancer?

Also, Catt, you should have started with BL1. Fun game, and a lot of the stuff in BL2 will make more sense with proper context.

Gordo is right about BL1. A lot of the story features folks from the first game. In fact, aside from Handsome Jack, I think everyone returns from the first game.

I am playing Axton. I'm level 4 now, turret isn't until 5 if I understand correctly. I finally have a full complement of guns types, and haven't died since I learned to switch between them better. Have died 4 times so far, but finally have 2 second chance lives now. Oh, shield at level 3 helped a lot too. And learning to run. And crouch.

OK, bought 1 as well, since it was only $7.50 GOTY edition.

I think the mood music in 1 is better.

Free with preorder, otherwise, I think $10.

Humor is better in 2 though.

Yes, there's nothing in game 1 like Handsome Jack.

BL1 humor spoiler below:

The chick who was going batshit insane from too much solitude giving her underwear to the first person she met in 2 years was pretty funny, though.

Another code was released today.

Also, go here and vote for BL2. Gearbox says good things will happen if they win...

Well, here's something I'm not used to: Enemies respawn whenever you travel back to where they were.

I'm used to Dragon Age-You clear em out, they're gone.

They respawn, but it never gets annoying because you can usually travel past them if you don't feel like fighting them.

There was some mission where they kept respawning as I went up and down stairs. That was annoying, but taught me to stop doing that.

Falling in the icy water, however, I did not learn as fast. Fell in twice last night. Survived... but sucked. I was perched on a glacier sniping enemies and I either accidentally moved off, or a grenade moved me. Oooooops.
