James Franco plays Aron Rolston, a climber who gets trapped for days while canyoning.
This is a true story.
I won't spoil the ending for you, just in case you missed it when it was news or when the film came out.
It's a very long film, and about twice as long as it needed to be thanks to a lot of questionable decisions by Danny Boyle, the director. Some of the abstract stuff he does works, some not so much.
Still, it's an amazing story of survival that will have you wondering if he's special or if most humans would hit that point, and basically say "fuck it" to survive.
Worth seeing once, despite the negatives, if you're into these types of true stories.
