League of Legends - Trumped up Rock, Paper, Scissors
Also, I think all 5 of us will be on tonight. I'll be shooting for 9-10 p.m.
Zyra - Played her on the PBE. I think she's kind of weak. That might be why they're not releasing her. As for what she does:
-I forget her passive.
-Her Q puts turrets on seeds.
-Her W drops seeds that are like Caitlyn's traps.
-Her E is a vine that slows.
-Her Q is an aoe attack that does damage and stuns.

I pointed out that exact thing pre-game.Leisher wrote:I'm sure Gordo figured that their Singed would be awesome pre-game because not only did he have a number in his name, but that number helped to spell a number!
The best I could do last night was a B-. I was in a hotel, with hotel wireless internet, on my laptop with the smaller screen and uncomfortable keyboard, and my mouse hand was on my clipboard balancing on the arm of the chair I was sitting in.
Did the best I could do, but Singed was building items a lot faster than I was able to.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
And you and Scooty were feeeeeding like mad down there. I was able to hang with Singed at top, but I couldn't deny him farm. Thus, he was out farming Gordon. So, between me not denying the lane and Gordon spending too much time dead, our singed was behind their's. I don't think that cost us the game though. They were better than us. "They" being Singed and Riven. Mal was food for me. It was basically 2v3 and they still won. Their Singed lived up to the double numbered name and played a really good Singed. I wasn't watching bottom lane enough to know if there was anything that could be done down there. I can only say that what was done, failed.
Late game, we were getting lucky with some fights, and took really good advantage of every opening they left us. But it wasn't enough to compensate for all the other problems we were having.
We either needed to put our Singed up top or bottom would have had to come up with a plan B. I never called for a switch because I was 'doing my job' or whatever. I was getting gold and XP and pacing with Singed. I saw they were failing at bottom, but we all know, trying to make suggestions when things are failing doesn't work.
So, I'm asking now, what might have worked down there?
Scooty said he was doing a lot of damage. He was only able to use two of his abilities because the others took him too close to them. But when he used the two abilities, he would take them for half their health. I was under the impression that I was doing most of the damage to the target. But he said that he was under farmed so not doing max damage. Perhaps we were not focusing our targets and thus giving me the impression that I was doing most of the damage. Because he was attacking someone else. I just knew I couldn't attack Singed due to his thornmail.

I already said I had mechanical issues with my setup, and was a little laggy with the hotel wireless. I was gracious enough to quit after 2 horrible games so I would do no more harm.
Plus, the two we had bottom were good at stunning and bouncing. Once they would jump on me, I couldn't move until I was dead.
Soooooo... suck it.

When there's a feeder on the team, it is hard to recover. I was feeding.Cakedaddy wrote:And the first game was more Caitlyn's fault than ours.
But it was still funny when, between calling me a fag, he had 8 deaths and called me a feeder when I had 9... and he stood and did nothing more than once when i got attacked and killed.

Something I have been contemplating:
Early deaths hurt us more because they accrue more interest.
When one of us gets killed in the first 5 minutes, that is an early item the bad guys get before us. That item allows them to kill us more, and death begets death, and those early deaths hurt us more than the late deaths.
I don't think any of us should be getting killed in the first 7 minutes, from now on. More defensive playing. Less feeding... nay, NO feeding. As a team we feed way too much, almost every game.
That's how the champs do it, that's how America does it, and I think that's how we should be doing it.

I try to analyze a bad game to try to learn our mistakes and I'm a dick.
For the record, I don't ever get mad about it, but I don't always agree.

Agreed.

We should start keeping a tally. First person to die each game owes a quarter. No other tallies because it could get insane.
We went 2-2 tonight in TT.
The last game I was Fiora up top against Darius. He kicked my ass, then would go bot and kick their ass. I told Cake after the game that Darius is OP. He disagreed.
Here's my argument:
I say this as a Trynd player who was nerfed to shit thanks to a vocal community. So it pissed me off to see Darius running around untouched.
He's an AD carry, right? Name another AD carry with a burst of true damage that instantly refreshes. You can't.
Now name another AD carry that can tank like he can. Jax and Garen.
So let's compare him to Jax and Garen. Jax takes a while to build, and is a late game champ. Has no burst, and his dodge lasts 1.5 seconds.
That leaves Garen. Both have spins. Both have a burst ult. However, Darius also poisons. He also has a grab that brings ALL enemies in to him.
Oh, and Darius' ult instantly refreshes on kills.
So instead of just complaining, I think Darius' abilities need to use more mana. Also, I think they should dump the true damage and replace it with physical or magic. Magic might be better, as it's like Garen's, and it wouldn't allow his opponents to stack armor, particularly thornmail.
And in a nod to Cake, I've faced Darius a few times now with Fiora, and it just doesn't work. She's a duelist, and can hang until he hits the burst.

Leisher was mad, bro. RAGING in voice about OP Darious!
There are some champs that just can't fight other champs. Or, you have to figure out a new way to fight them. I've gone against Darious top before. He's definitely one of the harder champs, but not impossible. But, I'm Noc. I have a spell shield that can block his ult, his grab, etc. For a while, I thought Fiora was OP. I could NOT lane against her. Then I learned how to and she's not that bad any more. Last night, I laned against a Singed for the first time ever. He won the lane and then the game. But, I learned a lot and would do better next game. Not going to call him OP because he can flip, run faster than me, slow me all while poisoning me. I couldn't do anything against him. But, I was harassing the shit out of Singed tonight as Ziggs.
Point is, he might have some CRAZY abilities. But I don't equate that to being OP. You say he's tanky, but I just see a lot of hit points. He loses health really fast. Focus him, and he dies before his ult/grab can really be effective. We will learn to use Poppy's wall pin smash thing better and shut him down before he can do anything. 1v1, yes, Darious will beat most champs. But not all of them. A squishy carry? Every time. I'm too tired to think of someone that can kill him.
In my opinion, Trynd is still the most OP champ. You let him farm (either early or late or whenever), he will win. Yes, he's easier to shut down early game now. But, if you can keep the game running long enough, he will win. You can't stop him. He is still my most feared champion. Late game, Darious can be bursted and shut down. Our biggest problem was that I could NOT land my ult. He dodged no fewer than 8 ults that would have killed him. 8 different fights, eight different escapes by Darious. I was off, he was good. That was our undoing in my opinion. When you are Teemo, and you see Darious, you ask for his lane.
So, again, crazy abilities: Yes. OP? Not in my opinion. If he can be killed and controlled like any other champ, then he's not OP.

We KNOW that when we watch the tourny vids, no one dies within the first 10-15 minutes, and we KNOW that in at least half the games we play, they have twice as many kills as us by mid-late game. Fortunately, we are a late-game team... but if we could apply our late-game excellence to our early and mid game, that would be us in the "televised" tournaments.

I have come to the conclusion that EVERYONE is too aggressive. Scooty and I were talking about last night's games. He said "Leisher is an insane Teemo. Hyper aggressive.". I have noticed Leisher's aggression as well. He doesn't see it. Early game, I harass and farm. When I die, or score a kill, it's because the enemy does something I didn't expect. I don't actively try to kill early game. It's what gets you killed.
I have said before that I think it would be a good exercise to try to win a game without scoring any kills. Self defense only. If they come in and attack, fight back. When they pull back, you let them go. Once the threat is eliminated, you yield. Yes, it would be very difficult to win. But I don't think impossible. We've won lots of games when the kill score was WAY in their favor. But, it would be a discipline exercise.

I typically only initiate a flip when they cross an imaginary line in my head that says, "That guy has pushed too far," and then it is typically just to harass, especially when I am solo top. If I keep them nervous then they sometimes start thinking defensively and that keeps me alive in a 2v1 lane situation.
But yes, we are too aggressive overall, I agree. That is how we end up giving up 10 deaths in 10 minutes.
We MUST be quicker to change things up if someone is going to be getting owned solo top in a TT, too. Like, immediately. If we need to put 2 guys up top, we need to do that, I think, and let bottom go defensive 1v2. I do it all the time in SR, it isn't impossible, or even incredibly difficult. If it keeps the enemy solo top from getting fed, then it will save us the game.
