The new Captain Kirk leads a small group across the country to a small beach where they can hide from a worldwide plague.
Interesting film that's more about how humans act during a crisis than it is about the disease. What do people do when all hope is lost? How do they behave? How do they treat one another?
Expect to see some stupid quarantine actions, both overkill and a LOT of "if they do this every time, why are they now..."
Nice visuals throughout and some good performances. Worth a rental if you're in the mood for a "end of humanity" film.
6 out of 10.
Carriers - Yay! Netflix.
I didn't remember this thread at all, but did a search anyway and whaddayano.
This is on Netflix.
Real bummer of a movie. It isn't so much about the end of the world, as it is a journey about extinction, and watching these kids shed their humanity along the way. I disagreed with about every decision they made and they ended up as dead as all the corpses they left in their wake.
