I really have no idea who he is, but so far, he'd be my Republican of choice.

Article.

"The minute that the Republican Party becomes the party -- the anti-science party, we have a huge problem," Huntsman told ABC News Senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper. "We lose a whole lot of people who would otherwise allow us to win the election in 2012."

"When we take a position that isn't willing to embrace evolution, when we take a position that basically runs counter to what 98 of 100 climate scientists have said … about what is causing climate change and man's contribution to it, I think we find ourselves on the wrong side of science, and, therefore, in a losing position," Huntsman added.

Perry's comments on global warming had prompted Huntsman to send a Twitter message Thursday saying, "To be clear, I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy."
...
Huntsman instituted a flatter tax system in Utah as governor, bringing rates to 5 percent, and said that phasing out deductions and loopholes to lower the overall national tax rate would prevent raising taxes on the middle class "in a revenue neutral fashion."

The global warming stuff is crap, and it's not "anti-science" to point out that the "scientists" pushing it are full of BS.

Agreed.

It's also not 98 out of 100 scientists, it's more in the 50/50 range. And let's not forget that the 50% who are pushing global warming are blatantly using bad science.

I can buy "global warming", but not "man-made global warming". Everything about the Earth has cycles, so to think weather wouldn't is pretty stupid. However, to say man is affecting it to the extend that these "scientists" claim is ridiculous.

To suggest it is fine, and prevent your evidence.

But to hide your evidence, or alter it, or even with best intentions say LOOK AT MY DATA, THIS IS INCONTROVERTIBLE PROOF is not science at all. It is salesmanship at worst, incompetence at best. To say, "The debate is over, the consensus has spoken, deniers are stupid and/or evil" is... scary. When you start whipping up fervor against those who point out your shoddy methods it makes me worry you might actually be up to something that is going to affect me adversely.

Anthropogenic Climate Change is all about money and religion, not science. Forcing it on school kids is just as much a religiously-driven action trying to get Creationism taught.

I know that's not supposed to be the topic here, but this crap pisses me off.
