Ip Man - Yay! Netflix.

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Chinese martial arts flick about a rich guy living in a city that is to martial arts schools as San Francisco is to hippies..... all flavors.

This guy just sort of wants to do his domestic thing but receives the occasional challenge. Then the fucking Japs invade in 1938 and it all goes to hell.

Pretty good flick. Very "We Chinese are way better than those damned Japs!" You can tell they still hold a grudge.

Yeah. They're still pissed about that Rape of Nanking thing. Go figure. In fact, most of Southeast Asia has been pissed at Japan at one point or another.

They did actually make not ALL the Japanese monsters, though.

Saw this flick some time ago, and it was indeed very good.

One of the best scenes:
IP Man vs 10 Japanese fighters

What's far more interesting though is this scene from another movie about IP Man:
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

That old dude is apparently, IP Man's real life son.
