Ok, ok, the crew went waaaaay back in time and became the Asgard. Remember when it was stated by Odin, "Our race was once quite human-like?" And we never saw it in the show, but one of the Asgard's most ancient and sacred relics was an old, red, "You Are Here" tshirt.TPRJones wrote:You, sir, are a ghoul.GORDON wrote:I also think the crew that went through the gate and "disappeared" all ended up time traveling, and they will account for 70% of all unexplained iris impacts at the SGC for the next 20 years, or so.
Stargate: Universe
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
But I still think the iris impacts are much more likely.
Or, also possible, they go back to ancient Egypt and join with that other version of SG-1 that went back looking for a ZPM and they help overthrow Ra.
It's more likely since the wormhole already opened in that time once which, according to wormhole physics that I just made up, make it much more likely to go there, again.

DAMMIT they are actually starting to act like they have brains, pulling off slick military missions..... they really screwed the pooch not making the characters intelligent like this instead of angsty, in season 1. They would have had a bigger audience from the beginning.
Spoilers follow for the episode with Woolsey.
Awesome to see McKay again. Was hoping for a mention of Kayleigh, but I guess that may have seemed shoehorned, a bit. Was also hoping for some mention of Jonas since it was his home planet, but again. Last I remember hearing of him..... was back before the end of the last SG-1 movie, something about him leading a resistance movement on his planet. I honestly don't remember who that would have been against, at this point.... maybe Baal?

Well, that's that.
All things considered, it was a pretty good way for the show to go out, since they didn't plan it to be the SERIES finale. I was expecting them to be in the middle of a fight and get a TO BE CONTINUED....
The show finally got good, then it's gone. The entire Stargate franchise is probably gone, due to MGM being broke.
Suck.
At least I got to watch this season as it aired. First time for me through the entire franchise.

So, this is an interview with the asshole that hates science fiction and prefers wrestling? I don't care to read what that dickwad has to say. Any of it worth knowing?

He puts down a lot of numbers.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
What kind of numbers? If it's related to Nielsen's then it's worthless bullshit.GORDON wrote:He puts down a lot of numbers.
In a world where every TV is hooked up to a computer that could report watching habits (opt-in, of course), there is absolutely no excuse for using a sampling of 0.00215% of the population like Nielsen does. But then if they updated the system they'd just confirm that almost no one doesn't skip ads now, and the whole ad-based revenue system would collapse. So instead we pretend that the bullshit numbers are real because that protects our bullshit advertising dollars.
I can't blame all of this on Craig, of course, but if he's quoting Neilsen numbers like they actually have some sort of meaning then he's certainly part of the problem and not the solution.
So, please tell me he's not quoting Neilsen numbers.

Neilson plus DVR in a 7-day window.
I think. I read it pretty fast and not with the intention of doing a report on it later...
He didn't go so far as to lay blame, just defend his network. Personally, going back over what I posted while watching season 1, the show really sucked. Maybe if the writers didn't devote 75% of the first season to stone body-swapping and musical montages, it wouldn't have lost the audience it started with.

Oh, absolutely. I am not upset that SGU is gone. I'd like more, but not enough to get angered about it.
I'm pissed as fuck that the "Science Fiction" channel has abandoned it's core programming in favor of wrestling and ghost hunting and completely bullshit movies. And of course the name is retarded.
And that's another reason I'm not upset that SGU is gone. Now they have nothing left for me to watch.

He's also that tard that thought "Marcel's Quantum Kitchen" needed to be put in their lineup. Maybe if they'd stop buying all those shitty Asylum knock-off flicks and and stop huffing paint over there, that might happen.

I don't really like these kinds of vids with scenes from a thing overlaid with current metal/whatever music, but here's a thing:
<object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Really shows how much action these shows delivered. Sad that they are gone.
But every single Stargate episode ever is on Netflix, so have at it.
