Due to the discussion that started in the Clash of the Titans chain, let's find out what you think about remakes. Name movies that you'd like to see remade and ones you think should never be remade.

In the past I had opinions, but after the new BSG I just don't feel qualified. I was completely opposed to the new BSG before it aired, and every detail that came out made it sound worse and worse. Then I watched it and loved it very very much.
I think the key is not what is remade, but rather who is doing it and how it is done. Some people are so good they can make something great into something spectacular. Most people are mediocre at best, and can easily make anything - good or bad - into mushy porridge or even total shit.
That all having been said, I think George Lucas should spend the rest of his career remaking Star Wars movies. He's already crapped all over them so no more damage can really be done, and that'll keep him too busy to mess up anything else.
