Here's the whole film summarized:
The film opens with the guy having bought a camera. There's some banter about it and most of the early scenes are them discussing why he got it (to catch the night time noises) and implying they could film themselves having sex (she says no).
Then night #1 occurs and yep there are noises.
She hires a psychic to come in and help. He says that ghosts are human and typically harmless, but sometimes demons haunt people. It's random and he can't fix that. She needs a demon specialist and he leaves the number. She says she'll call tomorrow.
The boyfriend talks her out of it saying all of this is nonsense and she'd look insane calling someone like that.
Ok, from this point forward every single day is the same...they talk during the day about everything, discuss the demon guy, and boyfriend talks about not believing this nonsense. Then at night, he does believe, they get haunted by doors moving and lights turning on, etc.
Still, here are the key moments:
-Psychic says don't get a Ouija board as that would invite the demon in...boyfriend promises not to buy one...he borrows one. They leave it to go out, it moves, and catches fire.
-Psychic also said don't antagonize it, and the guy spends the rest of the movie calling out to it saying things like "Show yourself coward", "is that all you guy", etc.
-Girl gets pulled out of bed and down the hall (best shot of the movie)
-They find a photo from her childhood when she was first getting haunted in the attic above their bed.
-Girl sleep walks once.
-Things start to happen during the day.
By now she's been physically assaulted, and everything has gotten way, way worse so she calls the demon hunter, but he's out of the country. They call the psychic back and he tells them he shouldn't be there and leaves immediately.
Night #20 she stands up and watches guy sleep for a few hours. Then she goes downstairs and you hear a scream. Guy runs down and you hear muzzled screams. Now footsteps and the guy's body comes flying at the camera. Camera falls and now the girl walks up and smiles like a demon. Summary says police found his body, but she's missing.
End of movie.
Alternate ending same thing only we never see his body, but she enters the room with a bloody knife implying she killed him. She approaches the camera and then cuts her own throat.
I thought a better ending would involve his body flying at the camera, and then her cutting her own throat.

That might almost redeem this flick.GORDON wrote:It would be funny to set this movie in the Predator universe and at the end show it was a bored, cloaked Predator just fucking with them the entire time. It would pretty much fit.

I think that from now on the first thing I am going to ponder after watching any horror movie will be, "Could all of this have been explained by a bored, cloaked predator?"
And I think Leisher should start writing some of his screenplays based on that concept.
Write it with the antagonist being a bored, cloaked predator, but then never explain that in the end... to avoid copyright issues, of course.

As I was watching this scene, I was thinking to myself, "I'm as skeptical as the next dude, but if I had concrete, indisputable video evidence of something causing my Ouija board to spontaneously combust, that'd probably be enough for me to move into the nearest church for a few days."
& what the fuck was up with those footprints? What the fuck kind of supernatural entity leaves footprints? If he wanted to show he was bad-ass, he could've just written "Fuck you," in the flour.

Bump, just to point out again where I think everyone in the movie is implied to have gotten a lobotomy.Malcolm wrote:As I was watching this scene, I was thinking to myself, "I'm as skeptical as the next dude, but if I had concrete, indisputable video evidence of something causing my Ouija board to spontaneously combust, that'd probably be enough for me to move into the nearest church for a few days."-Psychic says don't get a Ouija board as that would invite the demon in...boyfriend promises not to buy one...he borrows one.
