Shit
I got the red ring of death last night. My X-Box 360 is already on its way to Redmond.

Upside they have excellent customer service and they just sent me out a brand new one the same day they got my old one.
Mine was a fan issue not RRoD. There are two new motherboards. One for brand new systems and one for repaired system. So depending on how severe your RRoD was you might get a whole new 360.

How old was it?
Believe it or not, I got it within three months of launch. So I've been lucky. I've got a cousin who has gone through four systems.

I marked the one I sent in, so I'll know if I get a new one back or not.
I'm hoping that the article I linked here a month or so ago about them finally fixing this issue is true. Hopefully, the fix they apply means I won't encounter this again.

I don't know how you marked it, but they have a history of cleaning them.

It's not me, it's someone else.
They'll probably find my marks too, one was inside and one was outside.
By the way, Bill Gates' signature is like a 9 year old's.
