Know what a good Sniper upgrade would be? Instead of that weak middle-pea shooter weapon, a spy detector. Like with Sammitch it freezes you for a couple seconds, but highlights all spies in sight. Maybe just cloaked spies?

The wrench is the best (non-backstabby) melee weapon in the game. Good damage and a high crit chance.

From 50 feet away, and looking like a shotgun?

There are 2 aspects of this game that I think are cheap:

1. Demos that can just blindly lob shells around corners with the hopes someone might be there,

and

2. Critical Shots, or "Crits." I have gone through 4 and 5 lives in a row where I spawn, run to the battle, and just as I turn a corner I see a sparkly blue rocket and that's it. It's a stupidly random wild card, and, at least as far as I have seen, happens way too much. I'm fine with the Crit Uber the medic can bestow, because at least you can see those coming. I just hate the frequent and random ones.

Had to have been a sniper... Engineers simply cant do that.

Unless you didn't see a sentry that plastered you, or something.

Was it one of those wonky servers with odd rules? For example some servers have RTD which can randomly grant instant kills for 15 seconds.

Or maybe he was a hacker.

Seriously, it was completely an engineer, and there was no gun. There we no snipers in the game at the time (it was small, 3 on 3 +/- 1 at the time).

I think they were just cheating.

Could have been a crit shotgun blast... but 1 hit, time after time...

What was your ping to that server? If it was >200, you may have not even seen a couple shots.

Population that low. . . I'm betting it was a couple of kids that started their own server and put themselves into god mode. IRON (from Eve) has a TF2 server, and they do that. IRON people have unlimited ammo and many other buffs. I don't play there.

Ping was <50. I'm guessing it's what Cake said.

A new gameplay mode is being developed and a 10th class will be coming out.

Nice. I just finished Far Cry 2 with nothing else waiting to be played, so I'll probably start playing again soon.

scout update will be released very soon. They are already working on the next class update and just a few minor patches for gameplay have to come out first and those should both come out over the next week.

Hey, they're fixing Natasha, too! Good news, considering the swarm of scouts that'll be desending on all the servers soon.
