Balls of Fury

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Dan Fogler plays a former-child-prodigy ping pong player recruited by the FBI to infiltrate some sort of asian gangster's compound.

Not as horrible as it sounds.

First of all, it was nice to see a comedy not starring Will Farrell or the guys from Superbad who have been in every 3rd movie for the last 2 years. Dan Folger.... I dunno. Something about him reminds me of Sam Kinison. Which is good.

Secondly, I can't decide if this movie is silly without being completely absurd, or absurd without being completely silly. Whichever one is better.

Not the best movie I've ever seen, but not a completely painful experience, either.

Plus I tend to like sports movies, and I guess ping pong (or as they say in China, 'ping pong') is a sport.

I'm not going to go out and buy the movie or anything but I wasn't pissed that I had watched it either.

The main character in his Def Leppard shirt was making me laugh, as did Thomas Lennon anytime he was on screen, and Walken complaining about missing antiques roadshow made me laugh out loud.

Worth watching if you want a goofy movie that you don't have to think about too much.

I didn't realize it was Thomas Lennon until near the end... at first I thought he looked like Simon Pegg, but knew it wasn't. But I enjoyed that character a lot more once I realized who it was.
