Hillary Swank is a former minister who investigates miracles to prove they aren't miracles. She gets called to a small town where the river has turned to blood and gets wrapped up in what appears to be a biblical prophecy.
Well written, well acted, but not really well directed. I hate to label the whole movie's direction like that as there are some well directed bits and the pacing is fine, but there are really odd cuts and flashbacks or dream sequences that are not well done.
The visuals are well done and the storyline is solid enough that you'll ignore a few plot holes.
I'll never watch it again, but it's not a bad rental.
