Took the little one to see this today. The theater was full of little kids and they were better behaved than the opening weekend audiences of most movies I see.
Featuring the voices of Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Carol Burnett, Will Arnett, Seth Rogan, Jaime Pressly, and other people who aren't as famous.
Cute movie that follows the book in story and style. Obviously, some things are added since they turned a small book into a 90 minute film, but it all works.
One moment mid-film that was a bit scary for the kiddies. I heard a few cries and one of the little ones I was with didn't like that scene at all. (She's 4.)
A cute film with a few "wink wink nudge nudge" jokes for the parents. The two kids I was with loved it.
No need for a rating. It's a very good family film. End of story.
Horton Hears a Who
I just remembered there's some stuff towards the end of the movie that's going to make everyone here laugh.
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
