Fantastic Four Two

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

What's funny is that the theater abbreviated the name of the movie, on the marquee outside the door, as "Fantastic F." Can anyone think of a better abbreviation?

It was an ALL RIGHT movie. I enjoyed it about as much as I enjoyed the first one. If action movies were beverages, Aliens would be Jack Daniels, The Terminator would be Old Granddad, and Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer would be New Coke.

It's amusing enough, just not something you ever think about again after the credits roll.

The amount of cheese in this one was horrible. I thought the first one was so-so. This one was worse.

I liked the early "Is it clobberin' time?" joke.

I agree with Vince that the first one was better.

It seemed like there was less action in this one.

The biggest sin though was their cop out in using the "Ultimate" universe Gah Lak Tus and not the original Galactus. They even did a bad job with the "Ultimate" version.

(For those who don't know, Marvel has an alternate universe called the "Ultimate" universe where are the characters from the original universe have been re-imagined.)

Fuck, they used the pussy version? Damn, that just kills any desire I'd to see that film.

I can't believe how little I care about this movie, or even the first one, for that matter.

WHy do they seem so bland, to me? Completely forgettable.

I think it's because they really haven't let them be superheros. Sure, they've smacked some things around here and there, but not like they've done in the X-Men films. They also haven't developed the characters well at all.

They're too "clean". They're like the Brady Bunch of superheros.

Clean? Sterile. No flavor whatsoever. The least offensive movies ever made.

Yawn.
