I posted a link to the actual story on this board quite awhile back. Last month I remembered that I never finished it, so I looked it up and read the rest.
It ended a lot better than I thought it would.

I don't want to spoil too much, but I'd better see giant penguins in the movie adaptation!

Lovecraft can get very, very plodding & slow if they don't treat it right.

They can't do it right. Much of Lovecraft is unseen.

They're going to show too much, and in CGI.
