Like Matrix and Riddick before them, the Hellboy franchise has released some animated flicks to bridge the live-action releases.
The good: All actors return to voice their characters
The Bad: Except for Abe Sapien. It was really jarring to hear a different voice for that character. I didn't like it.
The story is...... all right. Fighting demons in medieval Japan. There were about 3 one-liners/bits of dialog that actually made me laugh... not as many as in the original movie.
Also, I am not an expert in animation by any stretch, and maybe I'm getting spoiled by Pixar, but I felt the animation wasn't... great. Even in Star Wars: The Clone Wars I wasn't pulled out of the story by thinking that the animation looks cheesy.
Recommendation: If you liked the original movie at all, watch this flick just so that you aren't left behind on any inside jokes when the sequel is released. If you didn't like the first movie, then there is nothing for you here.

Probably cos it didn't've Jimmy Kimmel doing full frontal nudity.

So, you're saying Jimmy Kimmel is gay?
