The good thing about The Ex not working is that when I took it in for a replacement, they offered me a second new release for free to make up for my troubles. So I browsed and came across this hidden gem.

The Contract stars Morgan Freeman and John Cusack. Win-win right? Well, Morgan Freeman is a bad ass assassin.

Seriously, do I need to continue? You should already want to rent this film.

Ok truthfully, it's not the greatest film ever made, but it is a decent movie. The plot is a bit thin, and this is no Die Hard in terms of action. However, the plot is solid enough to let Morgan Freeman and John Cusack act. That's worth the price of admission alone.

A "B" level action-drama with "A" level talent. Much better than it has any right to be.

Cusack's still on my shitlist for making "High Fidelity" & "Say Anything," but he's slowly redeeming himself.
