Severance

AppleTV+. Draws a lot of comparisons to the Lost TV show. Has 2 seasons at the moment. I'm working my way through Season 1. The premise is a corporate entity where people get their brains severed in order to work in part of the company. If you are severed, you basically have 2 people in you, the one inside the office, and the one outside of the office. Like a dystopian vision of work-life balance. So far, it's mostly a weird mystery of why things are the way they are. i've been told that Season 2 makes Season 1 worthwhile, and I hope it's true.

Just finished season 2. The premise of the show is good, but holy balls are they slow at telling a story. SOOOO many long scenes that are over done. I'm invested now, so I want to see how things turn out for them, but damn, it's going to be a slow drawn out journey.

The thing I can't get past:

If I was a severed, it would be worse than prison. You work all day and at the end you're like "Thank God this day's over", and you are instantly back at work ready to repeat. You get no break. No weekend to unwind. You work, 24/7/365. They don't explain how they stay sane.
