Apple sucks

Post by Leisher »

I'm offended at the idea that Nick Offerman could score Michelle Pfeiffer! Or maybe I'm inspired by it?

Also, "alien inspired OF content"? Do people do weird stuff like that? I guess they'd have to if they want to stand out? Huh. Here I was thinking it was just normal boobs and chicks getting railed. (Seriously, we're raising a generation of cucks.)

There was a LOT of talk in recent years about Apple buying Disney outright and how it would barely touch their bottom line. Point being, Apple's got money to burn and for some reason they really want Apple TV to be a thing. The problem is that they clearly have unqualified people in charge. Of all the streaming services, they are easily the most passive. Great shows, sure, but there's no reason they shouldn't be at the level of Netflix and YouTube outside of incompetence.

Tim Cook needs to make some changes in the Apple TV team. Oh, and they need to fix their launcher. It's a shit experience.

Apple sucks

Apple's fiscal year 2025 (ended September 27, 2025) was a record-breaking period, with total net income reaching $112.01 billion, a 19.5% increase from 2024.
That is indeed, a shitload of money.

What really confuses me about it is that Apple TV is a passion project of Cook's.

Hire me Tim.

I'd have them at #2 before 2026 is over. (Nobody is catching Netflix quickly.)

I don't think they're trying. I think they want to be considered fancy and high-brow. It's image extension.

Apple: AI is forcing us to raise prices due to memory demand.

Micron: you shouldn't have been complete fucking assholes to use 3 years ago. Otherwise we could have afforded to buy more capacity.

(They were more pc than that, but that's basically what they said)

Also, someone pulled up their last financial statement and they have something like $70B in cash in the bank.

Yep, $68 billion

Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to have less than that?

This story was also covered on last night's Tech Brew podcast. Yet another reason why "maximize profit all the time" is not the best strategy for society, and thus, the businesses that exist within it.

BTW, the number one thing I'll miss about Tim Cook is the people who do great impressions of his talking style and voice.

Missed something that was said in a tv show on Apple TV+; Rewound it 20s, and the app AUTOMATICALLY turned on closed captions for 20s. Nice.

That is actually cool...unless you're trying to see tits or something and the CC covers them.
