Send Help (2026)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Send Help (2026)

Post by Leisher »

Somehow my YouTube feed threw a bunch of trailers at me.

This one got my attention because of Raimi. A psychological thriller? Horror?

This was fun.

Linda is a brain at her company, but before she gets promoted as promised, the big boss passes and his son takes over. The son is a complete tool. On the advice of Dennis Haysbert, the son decides to take Linda on an important trip to Bangladesh. On the trip, the plane crashes killing everyone except Linda and the new boss. That's when it becomes like Misery on a deserted island.

Honestly, that's not really a great description, but it fits everything you see in the trailer.

The story here is pretty fun, and while there are no "you didn't see this coming" twists, it's not a straight shot from start to finish. You will likely switch up how you feel about things at least once.

Sam Raimi directs, and it's obvious with the blood, cartoon violence (just in brief moments), and the Evil Dead monster cam.

One thing that is kind of interesting, and I don't know how intentional it was, is how they ugly up Rachel McAdams in the corporate world, and then as the movie progresses, she's far more attractive. The more I think about it, the more I think it was indeed intentional.

Good movie.
