SDSU sticking with the Mountain West...for now.

NW to launch two more internal investigations.
One review will examine how Northwestern detects threats to its athletes and implements accountability within the athletic department. The other review will assess "the culture of Northwestern Athletics and its relationship to the academic mission."
The one I bolded is interesting. I've heard rumors in the past about certain parts of NW's administration wanting to do away with sports all together. I wonder if this will be the trigger, and if so, would that open a spot for ND? (Current rumblings have ND and Oregon as the next two potential members.)

More details coming out about NW hazing and I'm more confused than ever.

It was just one player, now there's 15? How did the previous independent investigation find nothing?

Yates declined to say how the coaches or staff would participate in the hazing.

I also laughed at that specific line.

It's like every politician ever making some grand outlandish statement, but then declining to offer specifics.

KU and UNC to do a home and home.

I initially thought, "who cares", but then saw it was about basketball.

Add NW women's volleyball to the scandal.

Harbaugh faces a 4 game suspension for cheating in recruiting.

I wonder how this is going over with all the holier-than-thou-are fans up there who claim their program is squeaky clean?

The news comes amid a boom time for Michigan football, as it reached the College Football Playoff in consecutive seasons.
Well, at least breaking the rules paid off!
holier-than-thou-are fans
It does suck when the staff/players do not live up to expectations. I would like to see the school punish him for this as well. Financially, community service, something. I want the school to say "This is not acceptable". But, really, it is, so they won't. All schools accept it. They just don't want them to get caught.

That really is the sad truth. I have no delusions about OSU being perfectly clean, and think fans of ANY program who think that way are full of Kool-Aid.

The one big of humor I do find in this particular thing though is that your fans are saying, "He's going to get suspended for four games for buying a kid a cheeseburger."

First of all, that's not the only thing. He and his staff broke the shit out of communication rules during covid. Second, you guys celebrated and made fun of us when we lost out on a bball recruit because our recruiter bought him a Big Mac back in the 90s, which I think it's just a funny coincidence.

Side note: That Big Mac was reported by the University of Cincinnati's HC Bob Huggins because he was also after the kid. One of the reasons I cannot stand that piece of shit. When you screw over a kid for personal gain, you're human filth.

Colorado mulling a jump from the Pac-12 to the Big-12.

I saw someone on Twitter say, "The Power 5 should now be the Big 3 (B1G, SEC, and ACC) and the Little 2 (P12 and B12)."

The ACC wants to expand.

They can have Rutgers and Maryland for UNC and Duke. We'll also throw in NW for Pitt.

Weird the ACC spent so much effort on football just to still be solidly stuck in 3rd
