I've been running around throwing that $35 T number / $1.5 T GDP numbers because I read it in an article.

I double checked today.

NATO alone is $42 Trillion. Ukraine/Finland/the other Baltics states in the EU can be added. But I think it's overkill enough.

No change to $1.5 T for Russia/Belarus.

Japan, who have taken a very active anti Russia stance? 5 Trillion.

Australia isn't included. Probably could be. $1.3T.

This is not even a remotely close economic fight. It's David v. Goliath.

Oh my gosh, the Russians left their in-Ukraine helicopter staging airbase undefended and it got rocked today. A dozen helicopters damaged and destroyed. WOW. I'll get the sat photos in here soon as I can.

If China did what the USA will not.... enforce a no-fly zone.... Ukraine should rightly be closer to CHina, after that. SOmething to consider.

And if Russia shot down a Chinese plane, a whole new eastern front opens for Russia.

I would say this sounds like an outlandish Tom Clancy novel, but then so does every news broadcast these days.
