Bourne Ultimatum

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

It was an all-right movie. Exactly what you should expect from a Bourne movie.

And shitloads of "shaky-cam." At one point in a man-to-man fight you see someone grab a knife and start fighting with it... but 10 seconds of shaky-cam and fast editing later, and I still couldn't tell which of the two guys had the knife.

Third time isn't a charm.

The Bourne Ultimatum is the exact same movie as The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy.

The more I think about the Bourne series, the more I realize that this series is nothing but bad writing.

Think about it. The world's best assassin has his morale compass changed because of a single incident. Did he never think about collateral damage before? If his mission was to make the target appear to have been killed by one of his men, wouldn't he have made sure that the room was clear before entering it? I mean, wouldn't witnesses say "Yeah, a white guy did it." Or are we to believe this trained killer just walks into rooms without bothering to check and see if anyone is there? And why does he still kill people throughout the trilogy without remorse?

The worst part is when it's revealed that he choose the path he was on. They didn't force him into shit. All they did was give him the tools. Yet here he is, Mr. Anti-Government Sanctioned Assassination. Did anyone go into the second or third movie wondering who the bad guys would be?

All three films were EXACTLY the same.

And in this film they left huge plot threads dangling that I can only assume sets up the rumored 4th movie. Let me guess the bad guy for that one right now: Scott Glenn's boss.

4 out of 10.

By the way, Julia Stiles has a small role, but she's awesome in these films, particularly here.

MINOR SPOILER I look for her to be the new Maria as they hinted she knew Jason prior to him being Jason.

Like the Matrix, I never bothered with the 3rd movie cuz the 2nd was so bad.

But, for the record, Julia Stiles is seriously cute.
