My girlfriend's experience with dating:
- Most men will hit on her, even if they are married/cheating, or too young or old. They are up for any level of relationship, right now.
- Half of those would actually hook up, if she said yes.
- Maybe 1 in 20 of those remaining would be "good enough" for her.

- At 50 I'm way too old to be successful on Tinder, where all the casual sex happens. Honest about my age, and get no hits, ever.
- I don't want to get married or be monogamous, so that wipes out 95% of the age-appropriate women who are on other online dating apps.
- So right there I've got a dating pool of about 1:200 local woman.
- Of those, maybe 1 in 20 aren't obese, or have a ton of mileage (claims to be 45, looks 75).
- So there's maybe 1 out of 5000 women in the area with whom I'd hook up.... and then they want to at least be friends, first. Be able to go out for an evening of drinks. Very few 35+ women looking for casual sex.

Starting off any sort of dating profile with "I am not here for sex" is a bold strategy. I know what she means by it, but it definitely gives off the wrong impression.
