Fair, but it wasn't the official story:
Get the dude some rehab that lasts more than a week ESPN. You cheap dicks.Last year, ESPN pulled the veteran college football reporter from a Wisconsin vs. Northwestern game due to an illness.

Oof...sorry.
There's no shame in losing to the (once-ranked) #7 team in the nation.Leisher wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 1:05 pm Anyone outside of the SEC loses to a top ten ranked team: ESPN - "That's a bad loss. They're in trouble for the CFP."
Bama losing to an unranked team: ESPN - "That's a great loss and shouldn't affect their ranking."
Ha! And that's the sad part of this double standard for the conferences in bed with ESPN.TheCatt wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 2:32 pmThere's no shame in losing to the (once-ranked) #7 team in the nation.Leisher wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 1:05 pm Anyone outside of the SEC loses to a top ten ranked team: ESPN - "That's a bad loss. You have to remember, those teams were only #18 and #19 to start the season, their rankings last week were simply inflated.Leisher wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:06 pmHa! If OSU beats PSU and Iowa, ranked #4 and #3 respectively this week, they will only be given credit for whatever they are at the time.
It's honestly frightening that this is the sort of stupidity that goes into the rankings and CFP discussions. It's also how most political discussions go.TheCatt wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:32 pmYou have to remember, those teams were only #18 and #19 to start the season, their rankings last week were simply inflated.Leisher wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:06 pmHa! I wouldn't say GA or Bama. Bama wins out, they are in. GA wins out except SEC championship, they are still in. That leaves a 1 loss or undefeated B10 team, undefeated Cincy, and undefeated OK as the other competitors.Leisher wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:54 pm Current final four projection: GA or Bama, Iowa or OSU/PSU, Cincy, Ok
Gets interesting if Bama and/or OSU/PSU knock off GA/Iowa. Who does the committee screw over at that point, Cincy or Ok?
BTW, yeah it was, but there was legit criticism along with that post of people thinking maybe Saban has lost touch with players. It is, literally, impossible to please everyone.
