At an hour and 24 minutes, any longer and it would have sucked.
As it is, it's just right and funny.
What's the deal with zero female-nudity and tons of man-nudity in comedies, lately?
'They' make fun of the worst of American culture, and a little of the good stuf, too. It's all funny, but it will just reinforce the opinion of those who choose to be vocal about the existence of "Jesusland," and stuff. That will become tiresome. I can't wait until a movie comes out mocking the self-rightous blue-staters so I can have me some "ha ha those people are stupid/I sure feel better about MY self, now" fun.
I wont hold my breath.
But the movie was all the better for me knowing that the dude playing "Borat" is just a really funny comedic actor. (I've heard some women already state "I don't like that guy because he's sexist.") And that he's a Jew. Who just happens to shift his shape.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
I guess there are already two lawsuits because of this film. One guy claiming to be the real Borat and another by two college guys from the film who didn't like how they were portrayed.
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
I enjoyed it but I had seen a ton of Borat before the film so it wasn't as crazy and an over the top and new experience for me as it was for others. I knew that going in but I still think it affected me some.
I pretty sure the same this will happen with his Bruno movie too.
