I'm at the first commercial break. The bit before the break was interesting enough that I had to go somewhere to say "holy shit!" before I watched any more.

Am I the only person still watching?
This whole "button guy can see the future" thing is a little odd. This show has many unexplained things, but it hasn't gone supernatural before. At least not in a way that has to be supernatural. Unless this is all some sort of simulation and he's pulling a Neo, I can't figure any other explanation. Except unless he's in on things and the Others have a weather machine over the island, I guess.
I'm going to be supremely pissed if this series ends without explanations, and they better be damn good ones.

Nope, I'm still watching and I thought last week's episode was fantastic. It's about time they let Locke go back to being Locke.
Desmond's ability to forecast the future is pretty unrealistic, but maybe not. The writers claim everything you see on the show will be based on actual science, so the question becomes, what in the world of science makes it possible?
The Locke speech is what really throws it. Had it just been the weather, that could've been explained a lot easier.

Hmmm, I remember the Ecko episode, but I don't remember anything that would make me go "No way!" But then I signed up for WOW again and watching while playing WOW does leave me a bit distracted, so I might have missed something subtle.

The actor that played Eko had a one year agreement with the producers. Instead of killing his character at the end of season two (because they thought it would be too chaotic) they asked him to stay a bit longer, which he did.
Adewale actually has acting skills and I'm sure he's moving on to bigger and better things.

FYI, according to the Lost podcast, Eko whispered "You are next" to Locke, so when Locke said "He said we're next" Locke was making an assumption that "you" meant the group.
The podcasts are worth listening to.

If they kill Locke, I will be done watching Lost. He and Sayid minus Shannon are the only two things that are "bad ass" on the show. I think producers are aware of that though. Without them, Lost is General Hospital on a haunted island.

They found the wreckage of flight 815 and there were no survivors.
My theory is that the Hanso Foundation staged it to keep people from searching the area. After all, they don't want people finding out about their magical island.
I thought the same thing. Although, that'll go a long way towards giving credibility to the "limbo" theory.

The helicopter chick...
Penelope (Desmond's girlfriend) said that there was place someone could hide that someone with enough money couldn't find. That was foreshadowing.
Penelope searched for Desmond and somehow linked the magnetic pulse with Desmond's location.
My guess is that when Desmond's sailboat was lost there was a magnetic pulse on the island. Perhaps finding and saving Desmond took Kelvin a little more than 108 minutes. Or maybe the pulse lead to his shipwreck.
Anyway, Penelope paid the two scientists in the arctic station to keep an eye out for pulses. When 815 crashed they missed tracking it down. But when the hatch imploded, they got it's location.
The helicopter was on a search and rescue mission to retrieve Desmond, hence the photo and the helicopter woman's recognition of him.
Assuming the helicopter woman lives, it'll be interesting to hear her explanation of why the helicopter crashed.
It seems that you can only approach/leave the island from certain angles/locations.

As far as Makhail returning from the dead...
Damon Lindeloff made a comment like, "But was Makhail really dead? I don't know. I didn't see anybody check his pulse," in the Podcast, so I was pretty sure he'd be back.
It makes me wonder about the fence. Perhaps the disease that Desmond had been inoculating himself against over the years was something related to the smoke monster, and people infected have this smoke monster derivative in them (perhaps making them "hostiles"). When Makhail went through the fence, maybe it just blasted the monster-derivative out of him.
