A cuck guy has a hot girlfriend, but they are dirt poor. They attempt to change that via a small crime. It doesn't go exactly as planned and the guy's world is turned upside down. It all leads him on a life altering path coated in blood.
This is a dark comedy or a drama with some humor, depending on your viewpoint. Absolutely could have been written by Gordon. Lots of female empowerment, but done in a way that people sick of that in entertainment will enjoy. (Hint: They're also human and just as fucked up as men.)
That's a pretty giant plot hole heading into the third act, but I overlooked it as I was entertained.
It felt long, but I was never bored. Just when a scene starts wearing out its welcome, the movie flips everything on its head.
Decent film.
