John Cusack and Billy Bob Thorton steal money from a mob boss (Randy Quaid) and have to stay in Wichita Falls one more evening due to an Ice Storm.
The box cover proclaims this is a great comedy, but it's actually more of a noir film. Yeah, there are a few chuckles and most involve Cusack's dead pan delivery, but this film has far more serious moments.
Other than that this film is entertaining. It's not great, nor is it horrible. It's in that middle zone and your results will vary depending on what you expect the movie to be and if you like the actors.
Worth a rental if nothing else is in.
5 out of 10.
The Ice Storm
I found The Ice Storm interesting, but almost exploitive in its use of children and sexuality. While the storm was a good analogy to the frozen emotional states of the characters involved, the choice of early 70's swinger society seemed also arbitrary to the true story of the movie.
2/4 stars.
I haven't seen the Ice Harvest yet.

It's not me, it's someone else.
I wondered what the hell he was talking about. Why did I think it was The Ice Storm? I've never seen that movie apparently.
