As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Alex Honnold free solos 3,000' of El Cap.

My kids both rock climb, and we went as a family to see this in Imax. The views, especially on the giant screen, were amazing. And yes, some of them made my butt clench.

The story is about Alex, and his desire to free solo (no ropes, no companions) 3,000' of El Cap out in Yosemite. Spoiler: He does it. It was major news when he did it, and has been celebrated as one of the greatest climbing achievements ever. You get more insight into Alex, himself, who is... not a normal human being in many respects. My wife just felt sorry for his girlfriend.

Very much worth seeing, and winner of the 2018 Oscar for best documentary.

His final climb is quite incredible. If you've watched other climbing moving (Meru, The Dawn Wall, etc), you'll notice that his climbs are not spectacularly difficult (relative to elite climbers, that is: I believe his hardest was a 5.12, on a scale that goes up to 5.15), but it's putting it all together for so long that's amazing.
It's not me, it's someone else.

I would argue that he's mentally ill.

I'll check this one out when I can.

He's definitely different. Probably on the spectrum.

Kirk did it, until Spock distracted him.
