It looked to be on par with "The Day After Tomorrow" and "Core." I would have been surprised if it hit 50% RT.

Holy shit is this a bad movie.
The world has gone to hell thanks to global warming so we build a planet encompassing satellite system to control weather.
You know what happens next. You'll also figure out all the relevant plot points based upon Hollywood's political leanings. But the writing, while horrible, isn't what makes this movie beyond terrible.
Nope, that's the science. It makes Armageddon look like a documentary. It shames The Day After Tomorrow into submission. Ditto for that shitty John Cusack movie about the end of the world. Words cannot express the stupidity. You have to see it to believe it.
Beyond the science they also massively botch world politics and engineering.
Very, very easily one of the worst movies ever made. Spongebob is closer to reality.

The more I think about this movie, the more flaws I remember.
Highly, highly recommended for those of us who enjoy science. It's like Dumb and Dumber. I'm not sure there's ever been a worse science movie.
