Brown is the latest Steeler drama

If only someone would be held accountable...

The Redskins’ attendance has fallen from an NFL-best 89,625 in 2005 to 75,175 last season to 60,719 this year — a drop in just one year of 24 percent to 29th among 32 teams.

NFL ratings were up 5 percent from last year.

46 of the top 50 rated shows since the season began were NFL games.

I assume the other 4 were college football games. Football remains king, by a lot.

After Week 10, five of the 12 eventual playoff teams had a losing record. The Colts, Cowboys, Eagles, Ravens and Seahawks were each 4-5. They went a combined 29-6 the rest of the way, and one of those losses was by the Eagles to the Cowboys. From 2002 to '17, a mere 17 teams -- or just more than one per season under this current playoff structure -- made it to the postseason despite a losing record after nine games.
...
Meanwhile, teams with winning records that seemed well-positioned to make the playoffs fell off. The 6-2-1 Steelers lost four games in five weeks and missed at 9-6-1. The 6-3 Panthers saw their defense collapse and lost seven consecutive games. The 5-3-1 Vikings fell into an offensive hole and couldn't beat a Bears team that ended up having nothing to play for by halftime Sunday. Washington started 6-3 and ended the season with Josh Johnson at quarterback and their stands colonized by Eagles fans.

Article that makes the case for the Steelers to trade Brown.

There's logic there.
Dump a diva with a big contract who is closer to the end of his career than the beginning...

Joey Porter is the first Steelers coach being shown the door.

This is a big one as Porter is truly a massive POS as a human being. He's been described as a bully in the local community. He's also tight with Tomlin as their kids play on some little league team together.

Note later in the article:
Defensive coordinator Keith Butler has one year left on his contract and doesn't plan to resign.
So we either go into the season with a dead man walking or make a change now.

Dear Houston, the playoffs have begun. You might want to start playing.

So...Deshaun Watson isn't a good NFL QB.

Sometimes I wish they wouldn't show replays.

I saw his ankle flipped the wrong direction on the ground, then watched the replay and man that was ugly

Rivers has the worst throwing motion I've ever seen. It amazes me that he's a hall of famer and nobody ever fixed that for him.

Chargers can't run and need to start throwing quick slants to back the Ravens off the line.

Also, there's a little girl sitting near the crowd mic that needs to shut the fuck up.

lol. He beat the Chargers the first time. 6-1 prior to this game, but yeah, it's almost painful to see him today.

Chargers are better are watching tape, for sure.

Also, the Ravens are missing 2 OL today, iirc, so that's not helping at all.

That was all on SD's defense. Broken coverages, dropped INTs, prevent defense, etc.

His longest completion was a fucking prayer he chucked up and the defender stepped forward to try for the INT and it floated just over his fingers.

-2 passing yards deep in the 4th quarter. As a Steelers fan, I'm thrilled this is the guy the Ravens are hitching their wagon to...

Good riddance to Ozzie Newsome who was an amazingly good GM. Thankfully he retired and that's a massive blow to Baltimore.

P.S. If Lamar Jackson was even as good as Kirk Cousins, Baltimore wins that game.

Well, I was goofing with you, but thinking about it, yes they would.

Baltimore's defense is the only reason that game was remotely close. Kirk could not be as bad as -2 passing yards into the 4th quarter.

He made all the previous kicks didn't he?
