Truth or Dare (2017)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Truth or Dare (2017)

Post by Leisher »

Yay Netflix!

Eight friends get together to party in a rental house. A rental house where several other kids died in tragic and mysterious circumstances, and yet the house is still up for rental and none of this is disclosed or public knowledge apparently, but I digress... One thing leads to another and they're playing Truth or Dare. Literally, from the very first turn it's clear rules aren't being followed, and by the second it's apparent shit got dark.

90 minutes of torture porn later and you'll be at the end.

There is no explanation as to why there's "an evil" that plays Truth or Dare with its victims. There is no resolution to anything. Some of the kids do a great job acting. Others have no future in the business now that fucking your way into roles is gone.

However, this is NOT a horror film. There are no scares. There's nothing even remotely frightening. There is no tension. This is simply people suffering and doing gross shit. This is Saw without the lesson of "Don't waste your life".

If the Saw movies get you hard, this movie is for you. If you're looking for horror, look elsewhere.
