Robin Hood (2018)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Robin Hood (2018)

About time! I thought the story of Robin Hood would NEVER get made into a movie...

Biggest bomb of the year.

Dear Hollywood, nobody gives a fuck about Robin Hood anymore. Stop making movies about him.

This was formulaic and without charm. Egerton tries, but this isn't Kingsmen.

There's just so much stupid. So many completely ignorant moments throughout that make no sense. Action for action's sake. Plot threads that go nowhere. Crossbows that are essentially machine guns (both handheld and turrets). Lots of bullshit that would work in the Matrix. Did you know that training for a week can make you able to dodge bolts and arrows, shoot faster than humanly possible, and makes you able to take on a fucking army all by yourself?

They also altered a lot of the legend. Some for the better, most for the worse. (Foxx is an amalgam of Little John and the Arabic guy, Friar Tuck is completely different, Maid Marianne is in a completely different role, Sherwood Forest doesn't come into play until the end, Will Scarlet is completely different, and so on.)

Just a mess of a movie.

Kevin Costner's Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves remains king of the Robin Hood hill. Morgan Freeman and Alan Rickman have a lot to do with that.

They also set it up for a sequel, which we won't be getting.
