Yay Netflix!
Documentary about James "The Amazing" Randi. He went from escape artist to magician to fraud debunker.
Along the way, he had a secret or two himself.
Very interesting documentary that mostly takes place in the 60s-80s when people were more susceptible to psychics, faith healers, mentalists, etc.
These people pissed Randi off. He believed it was unethical and wrong for people to use magic without telling someone they're a magician. He believes that makes them con men.
This documentary is pretty amazing in how it reveals the darker, more desperate side of ourselves. What would you do or believe in to make your life make sense or to make a miracle happen or to prove you're right or to justify something or to...?
