An Inconvenient Sequel

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

"I told you so" means his prediction about last year being the point of no return was correct, which means there's nothing that can be done, which means his movie is just a bunch of carbon that got added to the system for nothing. Thanks al gore.

"The single most criticized scene in that movie," he says as a map of lower Manhattan shows streets flooding with water, "was an animated scene showing that the combination of sea-level rise and storm surge would put the ocean water into the 9/11 memorial site which was then under construction. And people said, 'That's ridiculous. What a terrible exaggeration.' "
Uh, no. The most criticized scene of that movie was the glacier piece breaking off in the opening of a fucking documentary that you played as real, and never acknowledged that it came from a Hollywood movie.

I don't know what to think when people keep suggesting that if the ocean levels DID rise, we wouldn't be building seawalls, a tech perfected hundreds of years ago by the Danes, to keep our cities from flooding.

I mean.... do they think America wouldn't take steps? Just watch the waves roll in? They think that, don't they.
