Legion

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

First Trailer

I mentioned elsewhere the details of this series. Essentially, this is Charles Xavier's son and he's a mutant. He has multiple personalities, thousands of them, and each one has a different set of powers.

This could be amazing or terrible. He's an interesting character in the books because not all his personalities are nice...

Eh. Proteus > Legion. The former isn't X's kid (except the Ultimate version, I think), but Proteus is way more fun.

You are correct that the Ultimate version of Proteus is X's kid, but not in the 616 (Marvel's "main" continuity).

I'm pretty sure there was a story a few years back where they were fighting Proteus and the only way for them to stop him was to get Legion involved. Proteus kept kicking his ass until Legion tapped into a personality even more powerful than Proteus.

Wife and I watched the pilot. Pretty good. Or at least interesting. The pilot seemed to focus more on his schizophrenia than his having power. The power were almost an aside. Central to who David is, but you ended up trying to figure out what was his crazy and what was his power and what was what people were doing because of his power. Not sure if they can keep that up, or if they can that it will stay interesting long term. But for now the pilot and for now we will give it a shot.

I've heard good things elsewhere.

If that continues I'll give season 1 a binge once it ends.

I'll throw out that I watched the pilot, but didn't really like it. Flashbacks and other personalities and endless scenes that don't turn out to be real.

Big meh. But then I'm not enough into comic books to know about the mythos involved with him. Not sure if I'll try again.

The wife's brief viewing was a big, big, "fuck that". She said the guy was on some period piece she likes. But she gave it even less time than I did.
